Diet Heart Publishing was founded to educate the public about the need to restore our traditional whole foods, high natural fat diet. Step #1 is to revise the existing low fat 2010 Dietary Guidelines - a root cause of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Revising these low fat Dietary Guidelines guidelines is critically important if we are to reverse the chronic disease overload that is shortening lives and bankrupting America's financial future.
Step #2 is to restore accurate nutrition education in schools and colleges and end the confusion about what to eat! Isn't it time to return to organic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community supported "mixed farms," and universal access to clean, certified raw milk? Please, if you agree and are concerned about the health of a nation, "pass it on!"

lan Watson is the author of two books, 21 Days to a Healthy Heart (2002) and Cereal Killer, the unintended consequences of the low fat diet (2009). Watson graduated from the University of Minnesota and later founded his own herb and nutritional supplement business in 1989.
Watson is a health and nutrition researcher - a "you can't trust the experts" patient advocate:
"I began researching and writing about "Diet Heart" issues after attending the "Atkins vs. Whitaker" debate in New York City in April, 1997. The rosy cheeked Dr. Atkins - citing compelling scientific and clinical data - easily defeated his overweight, vegetarian opponent. Atkins was walking the talk and telling the truth about America's failed low fat diet.
Having been in the nutritional supplement business for 20 years, where misinformation and confusion about diet and health abound, I was determined to share my nutrition research findings with my customers with an emphasis on their preventing and reversing diabetes and heart disease. Recently I spoke about the "Shift Back to High Fat" at the 3rd International Raw Milk symposium in Bloomington, Minnesota.
